NucFil selected as the Exclusive Licencee for the Blanton Clamshell Closure
On November 21, 2006, Nuclear Filter Technology (NucFil®) was selected by the Washington Savannah River Company (WSRC) as the Exclusive Licencee for the Blanton Clamshell Closure.

The Blanton Clamshell's sealing device is a modified two-piece c-ring closure that secures lids to open-head steel drums using bolts
The photo to the left shows the two-piece ring design of the Blanton Clamshell which facilitates installation and removal, thus reducing the risk of finger injuries
