 Mobile
Inorganic Gas Sampling System (MGSS)
Gas Generation Test Services
| Nuclear
Filter Technology (NucFil) and Los Alamos Technical Associates (LATA)
are teamed together to develop and deploy mobile inorganic gas sampling
and analysis services using NucFil® patent pending Mobile Gas
Sampling System (MGSS). |
| |
|
The
MGSS:
|
|
|
Eliminates
the cost and schedule delays associated with laboratory analysis |
|
|
Provides
a complete WIPP certified documentation package for each set of samples
in real time |
|
|
Saves
money! A cost avoidance in excess of $4.5 million over two years is
projected for this analytical service at the RFETS. |
 The
Mobile Gas Sampling System (MGSS) is performing a hydrogen gas analysis
test on a sample obtained from a Gas Generation Test Canister (GGTC).
Hydrogen gas emitted from a 55-gallon vented TRU waste drum is collected
over a period of time within the GGTC "bell jar" system which
is manufactured by Nuclear Filter Technology to NQA-1 quality requirements.
The hydrogen gas generation rate of the 55-gallon drum contents are calculated
and printed within 24 hours of analysis. Hydrogen
gas generation test services are available using the patent pending GGTC
and MGSS technologies.
