The Mobile Drum Vent System (mDVS) performs the following tasks:
	Safely install WIPP-certified filters in Transuranic (TRU) waste drums. The mDVS measures the hydrogen connection in each drum.
Value added features of the mDVS include:
Ruged design that is simple to operate. Features allow field personnel to efficiently operate the system with a minimum of training. Same proven DVS "Cold Drilling" process to insert standard WIPP-approved Filters. Housed in a trailer for mobility, operator comfort, and protection from environment. Manual versus automated components are utilized to enhance reliability and simplicity of operations. Specifically designed for NucFil-007 series filters that are designed to allow hydrogen and other flammable gases to leave the drum while safely containing radioactive materials.
