A LITTLE HISTORY: NFT was the first company in the world to provide ventilation for flammable gas mixtures in nuclear gas containers.
The Company was founded on an array of unique products and services that safely vent gases through radiation resistant carbon composite filters. NFT’s pioneering, protected inventions have set the standard in vented nuclear waste packaging.
Over 25 years later, NFT is still a family-owned small business, and the industry leader dedicated to providing superior packaging, shielding and characterization technologies for ventilation, storage, transportation and disposal of radioactive and mixed waste.

Today, the same innovative thinking that launched NFT continues. With a specialized staff of many project managers, chemists, scientists, engineers, machinists, quality experts and service technicians with decades of experience, we are able to provide engineering, design, fabrication, testing and analytical services to assist our valued customers with broad and complex needs.
The company continues to be committed to quality as a NQA-1 approved supplier, and now also offers a ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100C:2009 certified machining and fabrication facility through its 5 axis and EDM manufacturing division. With these new capabilities and expertise, NFT has expanded its product lines, services and customer base into the aerospace, defense and medical industries.
NFT also recently acquired a multi-axis laser processing system. The Flex Lase system is equipped with high power fiber laser technology, 6 axis robot based process articulation, and a variety of fixturing options to address new laser welding /joining/cutting applications. This important investment in the laser processing system is an excellent example of the direction that our innovative company is moving, as we continue to pioneer the markets in which we participate.
